- Leads and directs life Safety, Safety, Environment of Care, Biosafety, and Radiation Safety segments of Plant Operations Department scope.
- Participates in capital construction project management processes, conducts Interim life Safety Measure (ILSM) and Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) processes.
- WASTE MANAGEMENT - Assist the Director of Environmental Services with Hazardous Waste Management.
- REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS - Maintain knowledge and keep up to date with regulations and standards including but not limited to OSHA regulations, DOT and EPA storage handling, use and disposal of hazardous and infections waste, PHMSA compressed gas regulations, NIOSH Respiratory Protection regulations and NFPA standards related to fire protection systems, emergency management, fire extinguishers training and inspection, The Joint Commissions (TJC), and other regulatory agencies as applicable.
- INSPECTION - Inspect facilities, new construction and modification sites and safety equipment according to hazard surveillance schedules for compliance with safety OSHA, DOT, EPA, TJC, NFPA, State and Hospitals standards and regulations; prepare, maintain written recommendations, reports; perform follow-up review on findings.
