- The essential function of the position within the organization is to develop, implement and evaluate training for Junior ROTC programs in Memphis City Schools.
- The position is responsible for developing training schedules and materials, providing in-service and professional development training for JROTC instructors, coordinating and planning co-curricular activities, and performing related work as assigned.
- Develops, implements and evaluates JROTC training and professional development programs for JROTC instructors in accordance with District and U.S. Army policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Assist in ensuring uniformity and cohesiveness among all school JROTC units in accordance with current regulations and policies.
- Plans and coordinates District-wide co-curricular activities, including drill meets, marksmanship competitions, physical training and team-building events, academic knowledge competitions, parades and awards ceremonies, and an annual one-week summer camp.
