- RN, ICU Float Pool - (3268147) The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing care for patients in the Divisional Critical Care Resource Pool. They will be cross-trained over time to cover several different critical care areas including Medical ICU, Burn ICU, Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Cardiac Surgical ICU and Cardiac ICU. Assignments on each unit may extend across several weeks or months, allowing each nurse to develop a diverse set of skills.
- GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT The staff nurse is a licensed registered nurse who is responsible for assuring competent, compassionate, individualized, nursing care for specific patients and families, including delegation to and supervision of non-professional clinical and support staff.
- The staff nurse is responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of a designated group of patients.
- She/he collaborates with the Nursing Director and members of the Patient Care Team to achieve optimal Patient outcomes.
- k) Integrates the six aims of performance improvement into care delivery: (a) Safety — no needless death, injury, pain or suffering for patients or staff.
