The J82 nursing unit for Heart and Lung Transplant is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular and Thoracic institute. As a Registered Nurse in the Heart and Lung Transplant unit, you will provide care to patients who have received or are awaiting a heart or lung transplant. An RN in this role is familiar with chest tube insertion, central line insertion, complex medical histories, innovative surgical procedures, pain modalities, and comprehensive nutritional support. Your primary duties will include: •Providing direct nursing care. •Monitoring, recording and communicating patients’ conditions as appropriate. •Preparing patient care plans. •Administering prescribed medications. •Performing bedside hand-off reports and thorough bedside daily rounds. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
