- The Cardiovascular Quality Coordinator is responsible for the program development, planning, implementation, assessment, coordination, maintenance and process improvement of a comprehensive chest pain, PCI, and cardiovascular surgery program that complies with national standards for quality of care as dictated by the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, The Society of Thoracic Surgeons and The Joint Commission.
- Collaborate with clinicians (physicians, physician assistants, residents, perfusionists, and cardiac cath lab colleagues) to assure accurate data collection and optimal documentation, including but not limited to the utilization of risk assessment tools, proper time out utilization, and proper use of order sets.
- Serves as the clinical liaison with the ED physicians, providers, and staff to ensure the proper use of clinical alerts, risk assessment tools, accurate data collection, and optimal documentation.
