- The Resident Director (RD) is responsible for directing and managing a positive living-learning environment that contributes to and enhances the academic, intellectual, interpersonal, physical, and spiritual development of residential students, and assists with the operation of the Department of Residence Life within the Division of Student Life

- A master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, or Counseling strongly preferred; or two or more years of experience in Residence Life or related field with the intent/desire to pursue graduate education.
- Select, lead, direct, and supervise a staff of eight to twelve Resident Assistants (RAs) and one to two Assistant Resident Directors (ARDs, undergraduate students) to provide a positive and educational living environment for residential students; share in the development of the overall Residence Life team.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in campus life by actively participating in campus functions such as varsity and intramural sports, homecoming events, awards ceremonies, and University-sponsored events.
