- Research Scientist, MonArk Quantum Foundry
- The MonArk Quantum Foundry is seeking to expand its theoretical work into the field of quantum photonics and optics using two-dimensional materials.
- The successful candidate will work in advancing the understanding and engineering of two-dimensional quantum materials for the generation and interaction with quantum light, as well as engaging in related theoretical/computational efforts that support/advance the foundry efforts in quantum photonics and optics.
- program that is jointly led by Montana State University and the University of Arkansas with the overarching mission to accelerate two-dimensional materials research for quantum technologies in the US. The center works as a collaborative response to the challenge to deliver on the promises of two-dimensional quantum materials to revolutionize quantum information science technologies in the areas of quantum communication and computing using quantum photonics.
- Conduct theoretical/computational investigations of the interaction of 2D quantum materials and quantized light fields, generation/absorption of entangled photons, and propose new pathways to control photon properties.
