- The Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance network, or CHAMPS, is a multi-country network that conducts prospective community and healthcare center mortality surveillance in regions with disproportionately high burden of mortality in children aged <5 years.
- CHAMPS currently has ongoing surveillance activities at nine sites in South Africa, Mali, Mozambique, Kenya, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, Pakistan, and Nigeria.
- The Assessing the Role of Malnutrition in CHAMPS (ARM-CHAMPS) sub-study aims to assess the role of malnutrition on child mortality and adverse pregnancy and birth outcomes.
- The Nutrition Research Scientist is responsible for managing and leading a wide array of nutrition data collection, data management, quality improvement, and analytical tasks for CHAMPS.
- Serve as Study Director for ARM-CHAMPS study, including overall project management, including data collection, management, analysis, and reporting.
