- The Research Scientist plays a crucial role in conducting innovative research projects focusing on understanding and improving mental health and promoting evidence-based practices in the field of psychology and psychiatry.
- A Research Scientist may interact with research participants as defined in research protocols and as part of an approved research study.
- Under the supervision of investigators, staff physicians, or the research program director, the Research Scientist will play a direct or supervisory role in evaluating participants to ensure that they meet study inclusion/exclusion criteria.
- The Research Scientist will help to design and execute research studies in accordance with the approved study parameters.
- The Research Scientist will provide administrative support, may provide clinical supervision of other research staff, and shall contribute to the research mission by assisting the application for research funding, helping to write grant applications, designing studies, managing data, conducting analyses, generating reports, tables, and figures, writing, editing, and publishing manuscripts, and presentation of scientific results at professional societies.
