- The part-time position is considered a flexible work-schedule as required to meet the goals of the Community Organized Restoration and Learning (CORaL) project, with location for data collection, field work, and writing as agreed with the supervisor.
- Specifically, this research position supports doctoral-level research to advance theory regarding the psychological factors optimizing value creation and collaboration at the intersection of indigenous knowledge tradition and western science culture and practice.
- Ph. D. Candidate or Post-doctoral Candidate with an established knowledge of the theories and practices that describe traditional science pedagogy, including both post-positivist and constructivist, emancipatory science, animist views of nature and indigenous knowledge traditions.
- Collaborates with ASLC Research Team, scientists and staff, CORaL network partners, regional science partners, community members, and native Alaskan community leaders/elders to establish priorities in research, crafting the work to reflect all interests and concerns.
- Proficient with research methods necessary for the psychological study of cultural intersections, including trauma-informed practices and participatory research methods.
