- Position SummaryThe Michigan State University Exposure Science Laboratory, housed in the College of Human Medicine, is seeking a highly motivated research assistant to oversee and coordinate several research projects which investigate exposure reductions of environmental toxicants (such as air pollution) and health outcomes via interventions.
- The research assistant will work with investigators and students from interdisciplinary fields to conduct various chemical analyses, set up and maintain equipment and supplies, collect and process research data, and assist in planning and designing laboratory experiments and field work.
- Oversees laboratory/field needs and orders materials, supplies and equipment.
- Main research activities include (1) conducting lead exposure assessment tasks among children and their families, and (2) assisting in performing lead chemical and data analyses and publishing/presenting data.
- This is an off dated position funded for one year from date of hire with possible extension contingent upon funding renewal.
