- Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Physical Therapy Assistant, the Rehabilitation Services Aide (Rehab Aide) performs only delegated, selected or routine tasks.
- The Rehab Aide helps therapists to promote patient satisfaction and provides support for therapy staff by preparing patients to receive therapy treatments and preparing clinical areas before and after patient treatments.
- The Rehab Aide provides patient transport, assists with ensuring safe patient handling, assists patients in ambulation and mobility needs, and records activity on a daily log.
- The Rehab Aide maintains adequate inventory of office supplies and therapy consumable supplies and/or equipment.
- The Rehab Aide may additionally perform clerical duties and participate in administrative or operational aspects of the department at the direction of a coordinator, supervisor, or manager of Rehabilitation Services.
