- The Rapid Response Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for rounding and responding to calls on all non- Critical Care/ Emergency units.
- The RRT nurse will assess, evaluate, and initiate approved interventions as appropriate to patients at risk for/or exhibiting a change in condition.
- The RRT RN utilizes critical care nursing and thinking skills in a manner that supports quality patient care and optimum outcomes.
- The RRT RN acts as a role model by mentoring and educating the nursing staff while delivering bedside care in a supportive relationship that facilitates the appropriate and timely treatment of patients.
- The RRT RN uses effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, nursing staff and physicians.
