- The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is a 28-bed unit specializing in structural heart disease, interventional cardiology, cardiac and vascular surgery, advanced heart failure and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
- Part of The Edith and Benson Ford Heart and Vascular Institute, one of the nation’s largest and most successful heart failure and transplant programs, the unit provides complex care to high acuity patients from across the country.
- This fast-paced CVICU provides numerous opportunities for growth, including training to care for patients who have had heart or lung transplants, total artificial heart implants, LVAD insertion, direct post-op CABG, AMI, cardiogenic shock, TAVR, ECMO, Impella implant and Tandem Heart.
