- Our U.S. planning and water resources business has seen consistent growth driven by our clients' needs to address challenges stemming from surface water/groundwater supply, operations, and associated regulatory requirements; development of aquifer storage and recovery systems; reservoir operation and seepage control; surface water management options; and the development of alternative water supplies.
- Challenges surrounding water scarcity, drought resiliency, groundwater depletion, saltwater intrusion, brackish groundwater treatment, brine stream management, desalination, climate variability, sea level rise, complex water rights, and evolving regulations are driving innovative water resource projects across the country.
- This, therefore, represents a strategic business opportunity for Black & Veatch, and the Hydrogeologist Professional will help the company grow its market share by providing world-class planning and water resource services.
- Serve as an extension of the Water Supply and Hydrogeology Community of Practice and collaborate to support team building, mentoring, and skill development of emerging talent
- Lead and develop surface water and wellfield studies, development projects, rehabilitation, and operational strategies that optimize water supplies utilizing aquifer storage and recovery and managed aquifer recharge technology, support drought mitigation, and/or saltwater intrusion barriers
