- Reporting to the VP Operations, the Regional Maintenance Manager (RMM) is responsible for improving mechanical and operational readiness at designated facilities in his region by working with the General Managers (GMs), Maintenance Supervisors (MSs) and Engineering and Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) departments to identify improvements, systemic or localized, that can be made to equipment and systems that will improve its reliability, safety, functionality and maintainability.
- Working with the VP Operations and the facility GMs, the RMM will develop facility specific strategies and priorities that will continually improve the long mechanical performance of facilities by monitoring Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Metrics in his region and working with the facility MSs to ensure appropriate spares on hand.
- In conjunction with Corporate Engineering and working with facility MSs, implements predictive vibration analysis programs within region and identifies ways to expand predictive maintenance.
- Assists with special projects as directed by the VP of Operations including OpEx initiatives, for example.
- Working with the GMs directs the activities of the MSs, MTs to ensure large projects, annual and semi-annual shutdowns and strategic maintenance initiatives are planned and completed safely, on schedule and within budget.
