- High School Diploma or GED required, supplemented by vocational or technical training in receiving, inventory management or a related field; supplemented by two (2) years of experience in inventory management; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) including appropriate endorsement(s) (to be obtained within six (6) months of employment - as required by position assignment); authorization by the State of Georgia Department of Revenue to sign title receipts on behalf of Fulton County Government (to be obtained within six (6) months of employment - as required by position assignment).
- All applicants must agree to and successfully pass a background investigation, drug screening and polygraph to be considered for employment with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.
- The purpose of this classification is to perform warehouse duties and inventory control functions for a specific Fulton County warehouse or facility.
- Performs storeroom/warehouse duties: assists with various shipping and receiving tasks, organizes and maintains the stockroom, issues parts and supplies, and processes returned damaged or defective merchandise; makes deliveries and operates material handling equipment; fulfill customer orders for material; creates, implements and oversees an appropriate labeling system for all equipment and material stored in warehouse.
