- Summary The Department of the Interior is devoted to protecting and preserving the natural resources of this great nation, including National Parks, Landmarks, and the well-being of communities, including those of Native American, Alaska Natives and affiliated Islanders.
- At the full performance level (GS-09) the major duties of this position include but are not limited to the following: Serves as a liaison with contractors and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) surveyors who examine, analyze, plan, and research title, survey, and historical records pertaining to lands originally set aside for, selected by, or conveyed to the Hawaiian Home Lands Trust (Trust).
- Works with General Services Administration (GSA), Department of Defense (DOD), and other Federal agencies to identify land parcels no longer required for Federal use and needing disposal.
- Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary in an office setting, although some physical exertion (walking, bending, climbing, and lifting) is required.
- Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: Researching historical documents through electronic and hard copy resources to obtain information; Analyzing techniques to interpret data, review research, and draw conclusions; and Communicating with customers to provide accurate information or assistance.
