- The Radiation Physicist is responsible for performing all aspects of quality assurance in radiation therapy in order to ensure accurate, safe delivery of radiation therapy treatments and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- The Radiation Physicist maintains the skills necessary to perform regular monitoring, testing, and calibration of radiotherapy equipment and planning systems.
- The Radiation Physicist reviews and performs treatment plan calculations for external beam, brachytherapy, or other treatment applications.
- 1 year of work experience in Radiation Oncology clinical procedures, including 3-D conformal planning, IMRT, machine QA, and calibration of radiation therapy/radiologic equipment.
- Analytic skill necessary to solve technical problems related to equipment failure, quality assurance processes, radiation dose administration, contamination, and the like.
