A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN PURCHASING SPECIALIST: As a Purchasing Specialist, you work under the general supervision of the Accountant Manager. The purchasing specialist is responsible for planning and coordinating all procurement activities in compliance with The Charles Lea Center and SCDDSN. Will prepare grants for S.C Housing Trust Funds, SCDDSN, SC Dept. of Social Services and SC Dept of Transportation and is responsible for grant reporting to these agencies. Will have to organize, implement, and oversee procedures and follow through of the Finance Offices as well as other departments that reports to CFO and any other assigned duties.
