- 1)Must have a master’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field with one of the following: Two years of professional experience in providing services to persons with behavioral health disorders; Current supervision under an LPHA.
- least four of the following thirteen content areas: human growth and development; diagnosis and treatment of psychopathology; human sexuality; counseling theories and techniques; group theories and practice; dynamics of marriage and family systems; individual evaluation and assessment; career and lifestyle assessment; research and program evaluation; personality theories; social and cultural foundations; counseling in community settings; and substance use disorders.
- c) Coordinates the day to day services with the Senior Case Manager and Residential Coordinator.
- This includes completion of quarterly prior authorization requests for services to the organization’s funding source.
- 2) Provide leadership, guidance, training, performance management, evaluation, corrective action and supervision for the Behavioral Health Counselor and Peer Counselor team.
