- The Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Provider (PSYPA) coordinates and provides psychiatric evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning as well as primary health care to adult and young adult patients with primary care and mental health needs.
- The Psychiatric NP/PA will be a member of our multidisciplinary services team of Primary Care Providers, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors, and Psychiatrist.
- Coordinates psychiatric assessment, treatment and management of patients through consultation with the supervising physician, psychiatrist, and other care providers to facilitate comprehensive patient care plans.
- May provides initial level of psychiatric consultation to all professionals (physicians/nursing) within Medical Department, under guidance of Psychiatrist or Medical Director.
- Current Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center
