- This position provides leadership for all aspects of Adult Protection and Child Welfare Services including direct supervision of casework staff and ensures compliance in Adult Protection and Child Welfare practice guidelines set forth in the CRS, CDHS Rules, Colorado Children's Code and Staff Manual Volume VII.
- Assures appropriate, timely, comprehensive investigations of alleged physical abuse, sexual abuse, exploitation and neglect consistent with all CRS, Rules & Regulations: includes cases involving At-risk Adults, Seniors, Infants, Children, Adolescent, Youth in Conflict, runaways, and adjudicated delinquents.
- Assures resource mobilization and information and referrals to other agencies involved in at-risk adult, senior and child protection.
- Initiate petitions to the Court when necessary with assistance of the Human Services County Attorney.
- Assure implementation of Adult Protective services consistent with State rules and regulations including but not limited to screening, assessment, service implementation, case management, data entry, case supervision, and auditing.
