- MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education: Associates degree in laboratory sciences (Medical Laboratory Technician , ) required; Bachelor’s degree in laboratory sciences (Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences ) preferred.
- License/Certification/Registration:MLT or MLS ASCP registration preferred.
- Works with the DFCI Laboratory Senior Director of Operations and the DFCI Quality and Laboratory Operations Manager, assists with efficient and effective operational integration with Point of Care Testing Program for DFCI Inpatients as well as DFCI Ambulatory Point of Care Testing sites.
- Works with the appropriate offsite and main campus leaders, which include but not limited to, the DFCI Laboratory Senior Director of Operations, Operations Manager, technical supervisors, quality managers, the supervisor of specimen processing, and the laboratory information system team, acts as a resource to address laboratory service concerns for regional sites to review and provide input to maintain and improve service for regional patients and providers.
- Develops quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives in conjunction with the medical directors, administrative director, and technical supervisors for aspects of laboratory services at DFCI regional sites , and the Point of Care Testing program; works with site leaders to develop systems and processes to maintain essential laboratory documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
