- Canopy Child Advocacy Center’s Problematic Sexual Behavior (PSB) Coordinator and Therapist works with a team to provide specialized services that address the children who are victims of sexual assault and who have Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB), in addition to other family members.
- The Coordinator/Therapist will provide a range of services including diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy, and acute trauma intervention services with individuals who are experiencing significant emotional and behavioral difficulties related to traumatic life events.
- Work in collaboration with the Family Advocate to serve children who are victims of sexual assault and who have Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB); responsible for ensuring all roles are working in collaboration with the whole family to ensure needs are met.
- Have a thorough understanding of the evidence-based practices used by therapist(s) serving children with PSB, including Problematic Sexual Behavior – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT), Multi-systemic Therapy (MST) PSB, Trauma- Focused (TF) CBT-PSB, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
- Comfortable discussing ways to teach and respond to sexual behavior and ensure appropriate boundaries are adhered to for education regarding sexuality.
