- The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic and tracer studies using a variety of radioisotope equipment.
- Detects and maps radiopharmaceuticals in patients’ body using a camera to produce photographic or computer images.
- Performs nuclear medicine and/or PET scans while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
- Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
- Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
