- The Islet Engineering and Replacement Laboratory (Director: Quinn Peterson, PhD) is seeking a motivated and driven colleague to join a team of basic and translational scientists in developing transformative new therapies and utilizing cutting edge approaches to elucidate new understanding of disease.
- The Islet Engineering and Replacement laboratory is focused on developing cell replacement therapies for type 1 diabetes and developing innovative new technologies to support basic and translational science in the use of stem cell derived islets for disease modeling, drug screening and islet biology.
- Along with conducting laboratory research, this role involves logistical leadership of the projects and supporting other team members including research technologists, post-doctoral fellows, and students.
- The preferred technical experience for this position is extensive experience in mammalian cell culture systems, flow cytometry, elisa assays, microscopy and experimental design.
