As a Principal Information Security Engineer your responsibilities include administration, maintenance, architecture, and engineering related to on-premise and cloud security solutions. This includes, direct support, technical ownership, and leading others with regards to the platforms. Additional responsibilities as needed, but may include security posture review and analysis, security vulnerability scanning, monitoring and alerting development and tooling, and security incident response. Primary Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Some on-call and irregular work hours may be required</li> <li>Support team leads and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for approaches, procedures, and implementation of perimeter firewalls</li> <li>Troubleshoot issues in highly complex, technical situations within an enterprise organization</li> <li>Transition core entities from hardware/data centers to Optum supported technology in cloud</li> <li>Develop perimeter security / firewall architecture to protect cloud and on-prem assets</li> <li>Create infrastructure as code in support of newly entities transition to cloud</li> <li>Identify and implement workload optimization in AWS, Azure and GCP</li> <li>Participate in incident response for supported cloud projects</li> <li>Train and educate team members to become self-sufficient in public cloud</li> </ul> You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: <ul> <li>Undergraduate degree or 6+ years of networking, security, or cloud development experience</li> <li>4+ years of experience with cloud or on-prem deployments of next gen/firewall (ex. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually.
