- Job Summary The PRIDE Trainer, as funded by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS), is responsible for facilitating trainings for the PRIDE Foster and Adoptive Parent Training Program to prospective, relative/fictive kin, licensed, and adoptive/sub guardianship caregivers for the Learning and Development Unit within the Office of Learning and Professional Development (OLDP).
- Facilitate a combination of 4 pre-service and in-service trainings a quarter, which includes a minimum of 1 pre-service, 1 in-service and 1 online course a quarter using either instructor led/in-person, video conferencing and online delivery methods.
- Quarterly, trainer skills will be observed, and trainers will participate in coaching, staff development and workshop activities.
- Bachelor's Degree Three or more years of experience as a PRIDE Trainer, Foster and/or Adoptive Parent, or as direct service staff with a public or private child welfare agency.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work. Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.
