- Posting Text The USD Department of Physics is looking for a postdoc working on COHERENT, LEGEND, and/or DUNE. Preference will be given to candidates who have rich experience in one or more of the following areas: semiconductor detectors (SiPM, Ge, etc.)
- PMT, front-end electronics, cryogenic operation, Monte Carlo simulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
- The postdoc is expected to travel in summer to Durham and Oak Ridge for collaborative work, to disseminate R&D results in relevant workshops and conferences, and to participate in various outreach and teaching activities that the department is doing regularly.
- Commitment to DUNE low energy physics is another possibility if the candidate is experienced in DUNE optical simulation.
- Applicants should submit a CV (including publication list), a research statement (including highlights of previous research that are tightly related to the research focus mentioned above), and arrange at least 3 reference letters.
