Full-time
- A Postdoctoral position is available for a determined, people-smart, and driven PhD graduate with a solid training in immunology (additional background in bioinformatic, material science, or genetics is a welcomed plus) to contribute to the development of next gen immunotherapies for transplant rejection at Johns Hopkins University.
- The VCA Lab ( is a multi-disciplinary research laboratory standing on the pillars of transplant immunology and immunoregulation, regenerative medicine, cryopreservation, and nerve research.
- In the Transplant Immunology team, we focus on understanding novel mechanisms of T lymphocytes activation and regulation as well as deciphering the complex interactions with their environment during rejection and autoimmunity.
- In our well-established multidisciplinary collaboration to engineer drug delivery strategies of targeted regulation of pathogenic T cells, the postdoc will help unraveling novel mechanisms of innate signaling that contribute to the activation of anti-graft T cells and will define novel targets of intervention.
- In true integrated immunology fashion, the candidate will implement cutting edge techniques including genetic engineering, fate-mapping, high-parameters screenings, omics approaches, whole tissue clearing and 3D imaging, to make fundamental new contributions and define bold new principles of therapeutic intervention.
