- The postdoctoral fellowship is a temporary period of mentored or supervised training to acquire skills to be a full-fledged child psychologist in Illinois.
- Supervision will be done by a licensed clinical psychologist for one year and will consist of three hours per week of face to face supervision.
- The postdoctoral supervision is required for the provider to solidify core child competencies in psychological assessment, psychotherapy delivery, professionalism, evidence-based practices, and supervision.
- It will also allow the psychologist to be mentored in the culture of Carle Foundation Hospital.
- Special opportunities exist for advanced supervision in psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral approaches to child treatment and participation in a multidisciplinary Child Diagnostic Clinic.
