- The Q-NEXT Quantum Foundry Thrust is looking for a postdoctoral candidate to perform research on heterogeneous device integration of superconducting samples with other superconducting or photonic systems for novel quantum technologies.
- A successful candidate would work on nanofabrication, assembly, and cryogenic microwave/optical characterization of the hybrid devices.
- The candidate will primarily be responsible for developing an experimental program to fabricate new hybrid devices via flip-chip bonding in the Argonne Cleanroom facility, and then performing microwave and/or optical characterization of the heterogeneous devices using Q-NEXT cryogenic capabilities.
- The candidate will collaborate with other members of Q-NEXT Quantum Information Science Research Center to develop new ideas and seek research opportunities with other scientists at the CNM, Argonne Materials Science Division and the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering.
