- This is a management position that is responsible for conducting performance audits related to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD), which could include but is not limited to, stratified random samples of administrative investigations , arrest, booking, and charging reports, use of force reports, motor vehicle and pedestrian stops, and police calls for service.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
- Knowledge of laws of arrest, search and seizure, legal rights of community members, constitutional law and Police Officer's Bill of Rights.
- Principles of organization, methods of analysis including program evaluation, operational auditing, cost-benefit analysis, work measurement, and work simplification analysis;
