- A Police Officer performs a wide variety of duties connected with general police work including investigation and general enforcement of laws and ordinances in the City of Superior, in addition to advancing the mission of the Superior Police Department.
- A Lateral Transfer Police Officer must have one year of full-time law enforcement experience and be eligible to become a Certified Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officer prior to hire.
- Upon hire, a Lateral Transfer Police Officer will be credited with their years of full-time law enforcement for the purposes of wage placement, vacation accrual, and minimum experience for Detective application.
- A satisfactory history of soft contact lens wear for more than one year with vision corrected to 20/20 in one eye and no worse than 20/40 in the other eye, is also accepted.
- License Requirement: Must become certified as a State of Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officer prior to hire and maintain such certification.
