- JOB SUMMARY The Airport Law Enforcement Officer (LEO), is a sworn Police Officer position that primarily supports the safety and security of the traveling public at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport and real property owned by the Roanoke Regional Airport Commission (Commission).
- This position provides law enforcement support to the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) mission at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport.
- The LEO focuses heavily on a positive customer experience through collaborative problem-solving and Community Policing principles.
- LEOs are required to monitor physical security systems and enforce 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Parts 1520, 1540, and 1542, as well as the Commission's Airport Security Program.
- LEOs patrol and monitor Airport facilities for the protection of persons & property, enforcing applicable state and federal laws when necessary.
