- This IT Analyst I/II position will support the IT Manager in the overall responsibility of managing City's information technology resources, including the operation and control of computer hardware and software, telecommunications systems, and networking.
- With a focus on public safety, this IT Analyst I/II is a technical position designed to be the go-to IT person for the Police Department.
- Installs and maintains desktop computers, mobile data computers, body worn cameras for police officers, laptops, network servers, security firewalls, switches, routers, and related automated equipment and systems; determines whether equipment needs to be upgraded or replaced; manages and performs system/data backup and recovery procedures; provides remote capabilities for offsite users to connect to City systems; provides remote and on-site technical computer support services.
- Designs, implements, and supports automated information systems and information technology solutions for public safety activities; coordinates activities between the Police department, other City departments, and outside agencies to ensure the integration of technology systems and enterprise applications.
- Implements and maintains various public safety information technologies and systems including Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Information Management Systems (RIMS), Racial and Identity Profiling Act (RIPA) system, mobile computer applications, body worn cameras, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) applications, and surveillance camera system.
