- Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system.
- About the Pipeline Software Engineer PositionAs a Pipeline Software Engineer, you will provide support for existing state-of-the-art applications for modeling, simulation, energy optimization, automatic safety shutdown, Real Time Nomographs (RTNs), and leak detection (i.e., Advanced Pipeline Software) for liquid petroleum pipelines.
- The Pipeline Staff Engineer will also assist with the configuration of software to support new functionality as well as participating installation and operation activities, and provide support on matters requiring immediate diagnostic response on critical system outages.
- Work with field technicians, other analysts, and engineers to analyze problems related to instrumentation, RTU’s, PLC’s, computers, HMI, related to Advanced Pipeline Software.
- Represent Colonial as required in regulatory inquiries and examinationsWhat You Bring to the Table:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.
