- Education/Training Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Residency training program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Certification Current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, is preferred.
- Physician will report to the Regional Chief Medical Officer for clinical matters and the Hospital Chief Executive Officer or his or her designee for administrative matters.
- Includes the diagnosis and treatment of patients with painful or functionally limiting conditions, the management of co-morbidities and co-impairments, diagnostic and therapeutic injection procedures, electro-diagnostic medicine and emphasis on the prevention of complications of disability from secondary conditions.
- This may include curriculum development, supervision and performance evaluations, daily rounds, lectures, demonstrations, informal discussions, and continuing education to attending Medical Staff, the nursing staff, and the therapy staff.
- Stewardship and Resource Management: Demonstrates accountability and sound judgment in managing company resources; appropriate understanding of confidentiality and company values; adheres to and supports company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
