- Locum Tenens Forensic Pathologist Needed in North Carolina Seeking board-certified pathologists with expertise in Anatomic Pathology and Forensic Pathology for locums coverage.
- Work Schedule: On days when cases are performed, preparation begins at 0800, with the last cases of the day completed prior to 1600 for cleaning and tidying.
- Details: Provider schedules are structured with one doctor performing cases, one on "back-up" (available in case the primary doctor is unexpectedly unavailable), and the other scheduled for admin tasks (report sign out, teaching, meetings, etc
- Autopsy procedures performed with an autopsy assistant.
- Approximately 4 to 6 cases per day, including external exams; usually 1 to 3 autopsies per day depending on complexity Majority of cases are forensic autopsy; potential for remote testimony Around 60 medical/hospital autopsies seen per year.
