The manager is responsible for the financial management and strategic growth of the home infusion services. Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Provides leadership to the NCH Home Infusion pharmacy staff. Works closely with medical and patient care leadership to ensure that quality and safe services are provided for patient populations (neonatal, pediatric, and select adult patients), and identifies and collaborates with referral hospital or clinic leadership to resolve pharmacy-related service issues and performance improvement opportunities.</li><li>Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, Joint Commission standards, adherence to policies and procedures, compliance with 340B program rules and standards, and hospital infection control policies governing pharmacy practice, and all others. Prepares areas of responsibility for regulatory surveys.</li><li>Maintains appropriate storage and security of all drugs including controlled substances, and that medication errors are entered into event reporting system; evaluates errors and near misses to mitigate future risk via improvement of processes and systems.</li><li>Evaluates the financial impact of services and related supplies and develops and recommends long-range financial strategies to the Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy and VP of Homecare Services. Prepares and manages the annual operating, labor, and capital budgets for the department.</li><li>Develops annual and long-range goals and objectives for the Home infusion Pharmacy team in conjunction with the Pharmacy Leadership team.</li><li>Communicates a strong service management philosophy and develops programs and supports for the staff to follow this philosophy.</li><li>Continually assesses and adjusts workflow relative to departmental performance and standards of practice, assuring the efficient and timely completion of tasks and duties of assigned team.</li><li>Actively participates in organizational committees and professional organizations at the local, state, and national level. Precepts pharmacy residents and students.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited collecge of pharmacy, required.</li><li>Master's Degree, completion of a pharmacy residency program, or equivalent experience, required.</li><li>Doctor of Pharmacy, preferred.</li></ul>Licensure:<ul><li>Licensure, or licensure-eligibility, to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio, required.</li></ul>Certifications:<ul><li>Board Certified in Sterile Compounding, preferred.</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>Effective clinical, managerial, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate staff.</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Working knowledge of pharmacy operations throughout the department.</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Three years of pharmacy experience with both hospital and home infusion services or completion of HSPAL pharmacy residency program, preferred.</li></ul>The above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
