- Job Description: Basic Function Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Per diem Utility Plant Operator operates and maintains the Central Utility Plant per Massachusetts General Law Chapter 146 section 49.
- The Per diem Utility Plant Operator will monitor and maintain steam, hot water, cooling, and cogeneration systems in the Central Utility Plant (CUP) including all other auxiliary components within the Plant on a day-to-day basis.
- Place boilers on or off line according to demandsPerform routine maintenance in the boiler room and cogeneration plant areasPerform boiler water treatment tests on shift.
- Must possess a Massachusetts Second Class Fireman's License or higher license.
