- Cleveland Clinic, one of the world's most distinguished academic medical centers, announces a search for a lead physician to develop oncology palliative and supportive care program collaboration between Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, Pediatric Palliative Care and Adult Palliative care teams.
- The selected candidate will join a vibrant and growing program that currently includes 16 Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologists, 2 PhD providers, 10 nurse practitioners and dedicated disease-based care coordinators and psychosocial team including a pediatric certified death doula, providing care to more than 10,000 patient visits per year.
- The division of pediatric hematology-oncology has grown over the past few years due to many programs, including but limited to, FACT accredited Blood and Marrow Transplantation, immune-hematology, thrombosis and vascular malformations, neuro-oncology program.
- sarcoma program and AYA programs which offer innovative care delivery and clinical trials through COG, NEXT consortium, NAPAAC, NICER consortium, Sunrise consortium, Beat Childhood Cancer consortium and Sickle Cell Disease Alliance.
