- Monitors the in-house payroll system, noting that it is working as expected and in compliance with federal and state laws, rules, and regulations, withholding rates, reporting needs, and changes within the company
- Updates payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, benefit coverage, union dues, other deductions and taxes
- Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, disability, and nontaxable wages
- Assists with preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.)
- Manages and pays third party garnishment payments
