Job Description:This position may function as both a Patient Care Tech (PCT) and Health Unit Coordinator (HUC). A Patient Care Tech functions as a clinical support partner assisting the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures as instructed by a licensed professional. A Health Unit Coordinator, under the direction of nursing leadership, facilitates unit organization and patient care by assisting in the coordination of patient, nursing, physician and other health care provider office and clerical activities.Unit Description:The Surgical Inpatient Unit cares for patients who have had surgical procedures and generally require overnight care. We have a wide variety of surgical populations we care for including General Surgery, Colo-Rectal, Urology, ENT, Bariatric, Gynecology/Oncology, Plastics, and Orthopedics.
