Clinical areas are varied, including medical/surgical, cardiac care, and possibly obstetrics and pediatrics.Required Qualifications: Ability to work closely with students, collaborating with staff nurses, to ensure a quality, hands-on learning experience in the acute care hospital setting. This role requires supervision of students and excellent communication skills both verbal and in completing weekly evaluations and a summative evaluation at the end of the term.Part-time clinical instructors will be paired with a full-time faculty mentor and point of contact within the course they are assigned to teach. Preferred Qualifications: Prior teaching experience in pre-licensure nursing education preferred.Excellent communication skills; ability to provide constructive feedback to foster growth in clinical development.Competent with use of technology, including the electronic health record at assigned clinical facility, Microsoft and Google for completing on-line student evaluations.
