- Provides professional patient care and practices in Speech-Language Pathology by evaluating, planning, implementing, and documenting treatment.
- Diagnoses speech, language, cognitive, vocal, and swallowing disorders by selecting, administering, and interpreting appropriate testing measures.
- Establishes and instructs patients, families, and other caregivers in therapeutic home exercise programs to be continued following discharge.
- All care is provided in accordance with the philosophy and essential functions of the hospital, the rehabilitation department, The Joint Commission, State Professional Licensing Agency, and the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Must hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a school accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
