In the event the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager are not available, the Pharmacy Operations Coordinator addresses all emergent personnel and operational issues. Essential Functions <ul><li>Responsible for coordination of the activities of professional & technical employees engaged in ensuring safe, efficacious, and cost-effective preparation and/or use of medications</li><li>Participates in drug shortage monitoring</li><li>Leads by example in performing staffing functions of pharmacist with an optimistic and professional behavior</li><li>Assists in regulatory compliance by developing policies for operations in accordance with laws and regulations</li><li>Monitors compliance with policies and continuous quality improvement of pharmacy services</li><li>Guides the orientation and training of new and existing professional and technical staff for their specific job descriptions</li><li>Develops pharmacy internship program</li><li>Participates in development of new pharmacy services</li><li>Develops core competencies and appropriate documentation</li><li>Assures adequate and proper staffing and scheduling</li><li>Support and implement programs developed by MS&T, SMS&T and other relevant committees</li><li>Participate in the educational activities for medical, nursing and pharmacy staffs</li><li>Compile meaningful productivity metrics</li><li>Fulfill staff pharmacist duties as required</li></ul>Required For All Jobs <ul><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li><li>Complies with all policies and standards.</li><li>For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.</li><li>Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
