- The Office of the Vice President for Research enables faculty research by fosteringa vibrant research environment at SLU. Our goal is to lift many of the administrativeburdens that accompany managing sponsored research so that faculty can focus on pursuingthe research itself.
- Research Councils and Committees In the spirit of shared governance, SLU Research manages a variety of committees andcouncils to convene faculty, staff and administration around research.

- Olliff also oversees SLU’s research innovation efforts,and partners with business and civic leaders to advance talent, commercialization,workforce development, and regional economic impact.
- He serves on the boards of the Taylor GeospatialEngine, the St. Louis Science Center, and the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation CenterSTL. He is a member of the BioSTL Coalition, the Missouri Botanical Garden’s MissionScience Council, and the Governing Council of Washington University’s Institute forClinical and Translational Sciences.
