- Under the direction of the Director of Related Services and in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, you will evaluate, assess and report on educational needs of referred students in the areas of perceptual-motor skills, motor coordination, self-care, sensory development, fine motor, muscle strength, range of motion, postural reflexes, and vocational skills.
- Provide discipline-specific consultation/coaching to other direct-care staff and care givers.
- Professionally values and articulates the role of the occupational therapist as a multi-disciplinary team member within the educational setting in the provision of educationally related occupational therapy.
- Collaborates with medical personnel in coordination of medical care protocols, and acts as a resource to school personnel in interpreting occupational therapy services and implementing instructional strategies in the classroom.
- Although employment is at-will, Therapists are expected to work 206 days during the school year (consisting of 200 in-person student instruction days and related preparation time, plus six (6) days of instructional and training days, and may be asked to attend additional scheduled events (i.e., Open House) on school days).
